The Academy Mission

The First Responder Academy provides training and institutional operationalization of innovative technology and techniques into everyday and the unforeseen extraordinary incidents.

Through dynamic in-classroom discussion, as well as interactive, hands-on demonstrations, The Academy will showcase the power of technological innovations to improve response to all types of complex, multi-agency incidents through the lens of real life incidents.

The Academy will teach agencies how innovation can help:

Improve outcomes at complex, multi-agency incidents through hands-on activities.
Develop a common operating picture through leveraging of secure situational awareness tools.
Eliminate or mitigate common situational awareness barriers such as task fixation, task saturation, distraction, and memory overload.
Improve collaboration, communication and coordination among and within the multiple agencies necessary to ensure a seamless, life-saving response.
